- Web Design I IMED 1316 ( can be taken at the same time as intro will do override)
- Introduces students to:
- HTML coding
- CSS
- Web design and layout
- Project planning

- Interface Design IMED 1341
- Covers the design aspect of software, hardware, and application interfaces such as:
- IPod interfaces
- Web interfaces
- Media player interfaces
- Navigation interfaces
- It also takes a coser look at how to use the Adobe Photoshop software along with some possible Adobe After Effects
- Covers the indepth study of Web development and intruduces concepts such as
- Instructional Design IMED 2301
- Interactive Digital Media IMED 1345
- Project Analysis and Design IMED 2313
- Writing for Digital Media IMED 1359
- Covers writing tips and basics for Website content and other digital media. Class will cover topics in:
- Web writing organization and Search Engine Optimization
- Blogging
- Social Media sites businesses should integrate
- Dealing with clients
- Hands on experience that can be done through an internship or a class practicum (aka project) assignment that meets the minimum 120 contact hours required by the workforce education coordinating board.
- One has to obtain special permission from the program coordiantor or class intructor prior to taking the course whether or not they will be doing an internship or practicum project.
Students who are looking to take a full course loads (12 credit hours or more) should consider taking two core classes (ie, math, English, etc) and then two digital media classes this minimizes academic burn out.
